The Records Division is open 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.  It is closed on Town holidays.  A message service is available after hours and on holidays.  The Records Division can be contacted at (970) 722-7779. 

The Records Division is responsible for the retention of Police Department records.  The Records Division is also responsible for the release of information to citizens, the court system, District Attorney's offices, to name a few.  The Records Division does provide fingerprinting services. 

The Records Division is governed by state statutes that prohibit the release of identifying information under certain circumstances.  Report information relating to juveniles and at-risk adults is protected by statute.  The information is only available to the person of interest and their parent or legal guardian.  The Police Department will withhold suspect or other information considered sensitive so as not to jeopardize a criminal investigation.
